Avery Kasper

CV

I am entranced by the human psyche. My life as an artist has forever oscillated between objective and non-objective; however, the central theme of my work has always been the emotions that surround the painting--both in the process of creating the work and the emotions elicited from the viewer. Through my use of color, marks that are full of energy and movement, and expressive titles, my artwork expresses emotions that I have no words for.  I channel emotions through visual elements alone, without objective subject matter. Abstract emotions take hold best in abstract paintings. It is my desire, through my work, to promote self-reflections on a visceral, more than a purely intellectual level.
